The plant in Zipporit commenced operations in January 1994.
In 2009, the plant's output reached 136,600 tons. About 30% of the output serves as raw material implant for upgrading to finished products such as laminated safety glass, bullet resistant, forced entry and blast resistant glass, tempered and silk screen glass and low iron glass for solar panel mirrors, Photovoltaic Industry, and Ultra Clear for Architectural Application.
Phoenicia markets Guardian Industries products produced in Europe and the USA in the Israeli Market.
Phoenicia exports over 60% of its production all over the world.
In 2008 Phoenicia invested in setting up the state-of-the-art plant to produce Low Iron Mirrors for the CSP green Energy application.
In 2009 Phoenicia has launched Low Iron glass for the solar segment with superior light transmission and clarity.
